Videos in the Park

The familiar trek to the dinghy dock was tinged with that bittersweet feeling of Greg heading off to work. A quick goodbye, and then it was time for ‘Team Ladies’ (Brandy and Katniss) to navigate back to the Chasing Destiny. Now, CK, ever the decisive one, declared herself the designated dinghy driver, bypassing any rock-paper-scissors scenarios where Brandy’s predictable losing streak was a foregone conclusion.

After a scenic (and slightly circular) tour around some of the outer mooring balls – perhaps CK was enjoying her captain role a little too much – they finally made it back to the boat, greeted by the looming reality of boat chores. However, their mundane tasks were momentarily interrupted by an unexpected bit of entertainment from the shore. A group of guys appeared to be filming a video, much to Brandy’s amusement. A mischievous thought bubbled up: she couldn’t help but chuckle at the mental image of Katniss, in her oblivious dog glory, potentially making an unscripted cameo in the background… perhaps leaving a little ‘organic fertilizer’ on their grassy set. The thought of it sent Brandy into a fit of silent giggles as they tackled their boat duties, the possibility of a pooping-dog photobomb adding a certain language laughter to the day.
