Humidity is a Sticky Hitchhiker

“Katniss, ears flapping in the breeze like tiny, furry sails, was clearly in charge of morale for this high-speed dinghy escapade. Brandy, convinced that sheer velocity could somehow outrun the oppressive Ft Lauderdale humidity, gripped the sides and grinned as they zipped across the water. They bounced over small waves, creating little bursts of spray that offered fleeting moments of coolness – quickly replaced by more sweat, of course.

“Faster, Katniss, faster!” Brandy yelled over the whine of the outboard motor, as if the little Shih Tzu was actually controlling the throttle. Katniss, oblivious to the laws of physics and Brandy’s desperate battle against the stickiness, just seemed thrilled by the wind in her hair. They careened around mooring balls, much to the bewildered stares of a few early-morning boaters, looking like a furry, slightly damp, and utterly determined duo on a mission to outrun the very air itself.

Despite the humidity stubbornly clinging to them like a second skin, they were having an absolute blast. Katniss barked excitedly at passing seabirds, and Brandy laughed at the sheer absurdity of their high-speed, sweat-drenched joyride. It was a glorious, slightly damp, and undeniably fun way to start the day, proving that sometimes, the best way to deal with the stickiness is to just embrace the splash and the silliness.
