The Chasing Destiny was experiencing one of those quiet, sun-drenched afternoons where the only sound was the gentle lapping of water against the hull.

Suddenly, the peaceful quiet was shattered by the unmistakable roar of the dinghy’s motor. Brandy’s head snapped up. Who was out there? Greg was still at work. She scrambled to the deck, peering out.

And there it was. Zipping away from the Chasing Destiny was the dinghy, with Katniss – yes, Katniss the Shih Tzu – at the helm. Her ears flattened back by the wind, she looked focused as she cut a sharp turn around a nearby mooring ball, then sped off towards a second ball, clearly practicing for the upcoming Regatta race in the Bahamas.

“Obviously, this is all made up as Brandy has lost her mind from the extreme heat. She shook her head, chuckling. ‘I knew I was getting a little bored, but I didn’t realize I was getting this nutty!'”
