Magical

The first hint of dawn was painting the eastern sky when the crew of the *Chasing Destiny* pulled anchor at 0730. The rhythmic clanking of the chain against the hull was a familiar wake-up call, signaling a day of fishing ahead. Their target: the open ocean.

As they idled out of the marina, they spotted the sleek lines of the *Rebel Soulz*, a Leopard 40 Catamaran, already making its way toward the channel. A quick wave and a shouted greeting were exchanged between the two crews—a silent acknowledgment of shared passion for the sea.

Once they made it through the cut in the reef, connecting the Abaco Sea to the Atlantic Ocean, the *Chasing Destiny* met the gentle swells of the Atlantic. Greg, at the helm, raised the sails. The wind filled them instantly, and the vessel surged forward with a quiet grace. It was a peaceful sail, the only sound the whisper of the wind in the rigging and the gentle lapping of waves against the hull.

The tranquility was broken by Greg’s excited shout. “Dolphin!” he exclaimed, pointing off the port side. “Brandy, hurry to the bow! Maybe we’ll see more!”

Brandy scrambled forward, her eyes scanning the water. Moments later, a collective gasp went up from the crew. Not one, but eight dolphins appeared, arcing gracefully from the waves. They seemed to materialize from the deep, sleek grey forms cutting through the sapphire water. For the next 30 minutes or so, these magnificent creatures swam alongside the *Chasing Destiny*, a private escort in the vast ocean.

It was a magical sight. The dolphins twirled and leaped, their playful antics a testament to their joy. From the deck, Katniss, barked with unbridled excitement, her tail wagging furiously as she watched the aquatic ballet. The dolphins, in turn, seemed to enjoy their human audience, their dark eyes seemingly acknowledging the awe they inspired.

As Brandy and the others reluctantly moved from the bow, the dolphins, as if on cue, slowly peeled away one by one, disappearing back into the shimmering expanse of the ocean, leaving behind only the memory of their extraordinary visit and the silent promise of the sea’s endless wonders.
