Jib Room to Geni Hole

Another deployment loomed, and Greg was off to the States, leaving Brandy and Katniss, her little sidekick, once again on the **Chasing Destiny**.The rhythm of their days blurred into a seamless flow. One afternoon found them at the Jib Room, enjoying lunch and exploring a new corner of the island. The next was dedicated to reorganizing the boat, only for the evening to descend into a familiar struggle with the geni.

The geni, it seemed, had a knack for acting up whenever Greg was away. Brandy wrestled with it, her frustration mounting as she and Greg, despite being miles apart, tried to troubleshoot the issues over the phone. A few days of no AC stretched ahead, an unwelcome prospect in the Bahamian heat.

To tackle the problem, Greg ordered a new battery from Parts City in Marsh Harbour. Dalalene, taxi # 160, phone# 1(242)458-6220, a taxi contact Greg knows well, delivered it to the Conch Inn and Marina. Greg would bring it back to the boat himself, a beacon of hope for restoring power and comfort. Their plan was to fix the Geni en route to Green Turtle 🐢 Cay, where they were set to rendezvous with the Regatta racers.

But beyond the practicalities, a more whimsical reunion was also on their minds: they hoped to find Crash, the inflatable turtle who had, on a previous adventure, decided Green Turtle Cay was his forever home.
